    教授,博导,长江学者特聘教授, 杰出青年基金获得者,中组部首批“千人计划”入选者, 973项目首席科学家, 国家重点研发计划首席科学家。1985年毕业于华中科技大学电气与电子工程学院电机专业,1988年在中国科学院等离子体物理研究所获聚变工程硕士学位,1997年在比利时鲁汶大学(K.U.Leuven),获博士学位,主要研究脉冲磁体分析、设计、制造及其应用,其间为比利时、美国、日本、德国、荷兰和澳大利亚等国的强磁场实验室开发研究了一系列高性能脉冲强磁体。1997至2000在美国国家强磁场实验室(NHMFL)工作,担任脉冲磁体设计与工程技术部负责人,研制出了多项当时世界最高场强的脉冲磁体。2000至2007年在美国通用电气(GE)公司全球研究中心任高级工程师,从事包括强磁场、整体充磁技术、磁共振成像(MRI)和高温超导电机等方面的研究。2007年4月回国主持国家大科学工程脉冲强磁场实验装置的建设工作, 担任项目总经理兼总工程师, 所领导团队2012年获批教育部创新团队, 所研发的脉冲强磁场装置被国际同行评价为世界最好的强磁场装置,在磁体和电源技术方面处于世界顶级水平,提出的多级多向电磁成形技术(973项目)已在大型壳体件,深冲构件,异形管件和复合管件的成形成性制造中得到应用, 发表学术论文100余篇, 获20余项发明专利。
